A Nautical Girl

Again with the nautical/girl theme. I'm looking forward to using a sketchbook that will accept pen n' ink someday.

Sketching in Public

Sketching the Pokemon Parents who wander an abandoned mall while their kids battle each other with Pokemon cards. Some parents practice the primitive art of conversation, most are absorbed by laptops, i-phones, i-pads, and i-dunno-whats. I of course, lurk in the shadows, smirking and sketching ..... and smirking.

Another Doomfiste

A narrow-shouldered take of this same character, lovingly rendered in pencil, then abandoned before I could find my inks.
By the way, I've been having trouble posting comments of my own lately, Blogger says it's a glitch of some kind. If I seem stuck-up in not answering comments, it's not for lack of trying!

I warned you about this

"AAARGGH! I've got an iron arm, hand and elbow and I'm only half-inked!" I did mention that I'd drawn several of these .....

Doomed direction

As I mentioned earlier, I spent an inordinate amount of time playing with this character, before boredom crept in and I abandoned it altogether. I had to use some crappy microns due to the shoddy quality of my sketchbook.

Doomfiste

I had done a pen & ink drawing a few weeks earlier involving an early-19th century masked man striding with a rediculously large metal fist. Later I became obsessed with the idea and wasted time I could otherwise have spent watching TV, drawing this same idea. Black Prismacolor and mixed-delusion on paper.

2 Languid Lifeguards

Available models at my son's swimming lesson, earlier in June. I feel pretty smug about the suggested flip-flops on the figure to the left.

Local girl, aged 7, plays Pokemon to beat the heat

Another sketch from a Monday night Pokemon tournament weeks ago.

Another evening of sketching while my son plays Pokemon.

Electric Flash

I picked up an issue of The Flash earlier in June and felt compelled to draw him. I have no idea what the electricity's all about, but it seems to be bothering him.
